ISEE took part in the inaugural Science, Engineering, Technology, and Management (SET-M) Conference at South East Technological University (SETU), Ireland, held on 22 and 23 October 2026 at the Cork Road Campus in Waterford.
Innovating together
The theme of the conference was “Innovating Together: Industry–Academia Partnerships in Engineering and Science.” The interdisciplinary conference was designed to engage graduate students, postgraduate researchers, faculty and industry professionals, and to provide a platform to showcase cutting-edge research, foster collaboration across disciplines and strengthen connections between academia and industry. Day one focused on knowledge creation: interdisciplinary research, advanced materials and additive manufacturing, biomedical engineering and sensors. Day two focused on knowledge translation: AI and intelligent systems, sustainable science and engineering, industry–academia collaboration, innovation and start-ups.
Keynote speaker from ISEE
Stefan Stefanov, Chairman at ISEE (Bulgaria) and Board Member at Unitraf JSC, was among the keynote speakers of the conference. He is an industry leader with 15+ years’ experience in manufacturing, digital transformation, and development of scientific management and digital twin systems.
